The selection process for this prestigious honor is an exhaustive peer-review survey, designed by topDentists LLC, with input from respected dentists all over the U.S. Dentists and specialists throughout Indiana are asked to cast their ‘vote’ based on their personal knowledge only of the peers they have worked with and consideration of five factors: years of experience, continuing education, patient experience, use of new techniques and cutting edge technology and course physical results. The nomination pool consists of dentists, who are current members with the American Dental Association or local dental societies. Voting dentists and specialists were also given the opportunity to nominate other dentists not nominated, but those they felt should also be included on the list. After votes were compiled, the scores were compiled and averaged. The dentists with the highest average scores were checked against state dental boards, checking for any disciplinary actions and making sure they were in good standing with the Board. A native of South Bend, Dr. Julie Stante completed her undergraduate degree at Butler University and earned her dental degree from the Indiana School of Dentistry.
