Insurance & Financial Options

We know that dental treatment can be expensive. Like other “Cosmetic” procedures most Aesthetic Dentistry procedures are not covered by insurance companies. Do not let that dissuade you from doing what is best for you and your smile. The care you elect is an investment in your health and well being.  We will always recommend the best treatment for you regardless of insurance coverage. The treatment we recommend will never be based on what an insurance company will cover, but on our clinical expertise, quality of care and materials used. As as health care provider “usual, customary and reasonable” is nothing to strive for.

Financial

In order to provide the quality of care you deserve, uphold our “one patient at a time” philosophy and keep the cost of dental care down,  we ask that you pay for your  treatment at the time of your visit.  Our office does not bill for services rendered.

If your treatment program requires several visits, we will provide you with an estimated cost, and our treatment coordinator will be happy to work with you on making financial arrangements. Mastercard and Visa are accepted. We also offer in office financing through Care Credit. They have interest free options (up to 12mos) available based on treatment charged and credit approval. For more information or to apply, click Care Credit to visit their website.

Insurance:

If you have dental insurance to supplement the cost of your dental treatment, we will assist you in every way possible to receive your maximum allowable benefits.  Please bring your plan information with you to your first visit.  Our business manager can handle insurance filing for you as a courtesy.  We are Preferred Providers for Dental Dental Premier, Cigna Radius Network, Dental Health Options and Wellpoint associated with Eli Lilly.

Facts you should know about your dental insurance:

Dental insurance has played a role in helping people obtain better care. Since we strongly feel our patients deserve the best possible treatment we can provide, and in an effort to maintain the highest quality of care, we would like to share some facts about dental insurance with you.

Dental insurance is a contract between your employer and a dental insurance company. The benefits that you will receive are based on the terms of the contract that were negotiated between your employer and the dental insurance company and not your dental office. The goal of most dental insurance policies is to provide only basic care for specific dental services. The services selected are based on the cost of the policy to your employer and the negotiated arrangements with the dental insurance company.

Because the benefits you currently have are decided between your employer and the insurance company, many services are not covered. The selection of non-covered services is not based on what you need or want, but is based strictly on the contract with the insurance company.

Unfortunately, some of the services that you may need or want will not be covered by your dental insurer. Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain optimal dental care, which is not necessarily the goal of your dental insurance company. The goal of the insurance company is to provide only the negotiated benefits for the specifically selected service.

The reimbursement mechanism from your dental insurance company is merely a mathematical formula as to which benefits you will receive and the percentage of the dentist’s office fee that will be paid.   We do not want to compromise your care based on restraints placed by an insurance company.

Some insurance companies tell their clients that “fees are above the usual and customary fees.” In our office we do not view our patients as “usual and customary”, but as quality people who expect quality dentistry.

Remember, your insurance benefit is limited by what you or your employer pays for the plan less the profit for the insurance company. Our office remains dedicated to providing optimal care for every patient and working with you to achieve that goal. We pride ourselves on helping you in any way and in continuing to provide the quality of care to which you have become accustomed.
